Mama Cass’ Orb

I always ask my dog, Rex Honey-Badger, “Who’s your mama?” And he growls back, “mwah mwah” to get a little head scratch as he gives back a doggie smile. I may be a loving mom, but it always exciting to have an actual green orb of “The Mama” from the band called the Mama’s and the Papas.

Remember the song “California Dreamin’ or “Make Your own Kind of Music?” That’s what we heard over and over in the 70’s on the terrestrial radio, and not on Itunes! During this era we have heard from Mackenzie Phillips the history of the crazy drug usage in this rock band and sexual revolution that occurred after this all took place in the world. The drug use was detrimental to many lives of the rock n’ roll era. The lifestyle of popping pills to stay up or down may have taken the life of Mama Cass at the age of 33. No one is really sure. Two evidential mediums, Mellisa Cubillas and AJ Barrera joined us in the Playroom with the living daughter of the late and great Mama Cass. Owen Elliott-Kugel tells her story and this pod was thankfully co-hosted and casted by Leigh Kochner.
